Reno Recap
Hey guys! This past weekend I took a short trip up to Reno, Nevada to visit a friend. I had an amazing time visiting, and we had so much together exploring Reno. We did so many different things that there was never a dull moment over the weekend. My first night there we just chilled and played board games. I haven't had a board game night in forever and had so much fun learning how to play Monopoly. It was the first time I have ever played, and while I wasn't great and lost, it was so much fun. We also watched movies all night long.
My first full day in Reno we went to a super cute vegan cafe in downtown Reno. Cafe Capello is a cute cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a great menu of food and espresso drinks to choose from. If espresso isn't your thing they have a wide selection of teas and hot chocolate to choose from. It is a little pricey, but it is in a cute area and the food and drinks were good. I grabbed a medium hot chocolate and the vegan french toast and they were both great.
Later that night we made some potato soup from scratch, and made ourselves a fall feast to enjoy. We even made some pumpkin spice cookies to enojy while we played borad games and watched some movies and TV.
My second and last day we just chilled around in the morning, and made a great brunch spread. We went for a bike ride in the afternoon and the views were really breathtaking. I forgot how high the elevation in Reno is (about 4,500 ft) and I struggled a little bit, but the views were worth it. It was a little rainy and cloudy so the clouds were casting some great shadows on the mountains.
That night we went to a Reno Aces game. The Reno Aces are the AAA affiliate of the Arizona Diamondback. They are pretty good this season, so tickets were a little bit more expensive but no that bad. My ticket was all together $30 and I got to sit on the third base side just a couple of rows above the home dugout. The game was great, and we got to see an Aces win! I even managed to snag one of the free T-shirts they were throwing out. I would totally recommend going and seeing an Aces game if you are in town and get the chance.
I had an amazing time in Reno visiting my friend and making new ones. Thanks for reading! Here is a cute kitty to brighten up your day.
